Fibrinogen degradation product (FDPs), also known as Fibrinogen split products, are components of the blood produced by clot degeneration.
The test may also be ordered if you have other clotting disorders, or if your doctor believes you have disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).
Normal results for the fibrinogen degradation products test are less than 10 mcg/mL.
